What’s Trending Now? Top 5 Summer Trends

We have to admit, we love Pinterest.

We could spend hours looking through inspirational boards and coming up with creative updates and design ideas for the home. It was on one of these Pinterest binges that we decided we should share the trends and themes we were stumbling upon with all of you! Without further ado, here are the top 5 summer trends as seen on Pinterest.

  1. Muted, pastel colors are in. Past summers have been all about the bright colors and neon accessories, but this year softer, muted colors appear to be popular. Mint green, soft blues, light purples and cheery yellow.
  2. Bring plants indoors. Indoor plants, trees and flowers are growing in popularity. Many people are even starting indoor herb gardens in the kitchen.
  3. Depression-era glass. Green and blue depression style glass vases and lamps are making reappearance. Zara Homes has some beautiful vintage inspired pieces as well as a huge array of home items for summer.
  4. Country Chic. Wooden, rustic tables decorated with wild flowers are a huge trend for outdoor areas this summer. Mason jars aren’t just for canning anymore! They are being repurposed as vases, candle holders and hanging tea lights.
  5. Nautical theme. It seems like this is a summer trend that will return year after year. It is a classic and you can see it all over the internet. Blue, white and red, anchors, seashells and many more ocean related accent pieces can be found in homes all summer long.
